Hey hey, spore will be played like single player but the creatures (their DNA?) you create and evolve will be used to populate other people’s games. So when you try to ear the 3 legged monkey thing, that monkey creature was somebody else’s creature in their game. Cool eh?

I think the idea was that a lot of the content was generated by other players, and then used in your game as you played it. Like, if you found another creature or city, it would have been designed by other players and uploaded to the Spore server automatically, and then downloaded to your game as you needed it.

A great way for your game to generate a lot of cool content without the Spore team actually having to do the work.
